CNET Networks Taps Tera-Scale Data Warehouse Appliance for Comprehensive, Near Real-Time Analysis of Customer Behavior and Marketing Programs.
Netezza Corporation today announced that CNET Networks, a premier global interactive content company, has selected the Netezza Performance Server (NPS) appliance for faster and more comprehensive analysis of massive amounts of clickstream data.
CNET Networks chose the NPS appliance based on its performance, value and ability to integrate easily into the company's current MicroStrategy Business Intelligence environment. The NPS appliance will allow the company to query substantially more data in near real-time, which will result in faster analysis and better, timelier decision-making.
"Internet-driven businesses are among the most information-intensive in the world, creating substantial demand for tera-scale systems that deliver powerful performance at a low total cost of ownership," said Jit Saxena, co-founder and CEO of Netezza Corp. "We are excited to add CNET Networks to our growing customer base of global organizations. Netezza is now deployed in market-leading data centers in several industries, empowering organizations to tackle their toughest data analysis challenges."
Since its introduction last year, the Netezza Performance Server data warehouse appliance has been selected and deployed by leading companies in retail, telecommunications, the life sciences and other industries to power their Business Intelligence efforts. Worldwide customers include, AT&T Wireless, The TJX Companies, Premier, Inc., Orange UK, Caudwell Communications, ClarityBlue, Epsilon and Shoppers Drug Mart.
